PBS FM is one of Australia's leading community radio stations. Our charter is to play under-represented music, and we've been doing so for over 25 years.

All our announcers are volunteers, as are many of the people behind the scenes. Still, it costs around $11,000.00/week to keep us going!

Our income is derived predominantly from subscriptions; we are not a commercial station nor do we get government funding.

If you'd like to support PBS FM and Fret Net in particular, and help keep us on air, please consider subscribing. Please note that none of this money, not even one single cent, goes to me. It ALL goes towards the running costs of the station. I'm a volunteer and give my time to PBS and Fret Net for free.

There are different levels of subscription, but I suggest these:

  • PBS Supporter - A$70
    Standard subscription for individuals.
  • Band Subscription - A$110
Share the cost amongst your band mates, and get a little plug on the show every week! Plus, you get an entry on the Fret Net Supporters page.
  • Gold Business Subscriber - A$440
For businesses to show the guitar community their support for Fret Net, and get an on-air acknowledgement on the show every week! Plus, you get an entry on the Fret Net Supporters page.
Follow this link to the PBS web site for more information, and remember to select "Fret Net" as your Show Subscription.

Alternatively, call our subscriptions manager, Gerry Koster, and he'll take care of you. The number is 8415 1067, or 03 8415 1067 if you're outside of Melbourne but still in Australia, or +613 8415 1067 if you're outside of Australia.

Thanks!

Steve
